Support
Nosto is made by one person. Write below and it reaches me directly — there is no help desk in between, and no ticket number.
Do I need an Apple Watch?
No. Nosto works on the iPhone alone: you log every lift from the phone or from the lock screen, and the whole training record is there. A Watch adds logging from your wrist, the rest and warm-up timers where you can see them between attempts, and your heart rate through the session. If you have one, more of the app is open to you; if you do not, nothing is missing from the record itself.
Is there an Android version?
Not at the moment. Nosto is built for iPhone and Apple Watch.
Does it work if I do not have a coach?
Yes. If you train with a coach, their programme goes in as sets and ladders and the app follows it. If you do not, the session builder gives you a programme: pick what you want to work on — positions, strength, speed, rhythm, the top end, volume or an easy day — choose one of its programmes, and every set arrives with its reps, its rest and its loads in kilos, worked out from your own records. Change anything before you start, or save it to run again. The weight on the bar is still your call, and the app writes down what happened.
Does my training leave my phone?
No. Your sessions, your records and anything read from Health stay on the device. There is no account to create and nothing about your lifting is uploaded. The full detail — including the one thing that is optional, off by default, and never contains a weight or a heart rate — is on the privacy page.
What happens if I change phones?
Your training travels in the iPhone's iCloud backup. Set up the new phone from that backup and Nosto opens with every session and record in it. There is no Nosto account, so there is nothing else to move.
Write to me
Anything at all: a bug, a lift the app gets wrong, something that makes no sense, or a question before you ask for a beta place. If you are reporting something broken, the app version from Profile helps, but do not let that stop you writing.
Messages are stored so they can be answered, and for nothing else. They are not published, not sold, and your address is never added to any mailing list. Ask and both the message and the address are deleted.
Asking for a beta place is a different form — that one is on the beta page.
